If you have ever been to Oswegatchie for breakfast, you have had our real maple syrup. We use it on pancakes, waffles, French toast, and sometimes in chicken wings and other recipes.
We sell only the 2 highest grades of syrup. You will be sent either "Golden Color Delicate Taste" or "Amber Color Rich Taste".
Our customized jugs feature our classic label design, which has been in use for the past 15 years. The art was sampled from a painting that hung in our sugarhouse for years. Currently, we only have pints and half pints in glass.
Pure 100% New York Maple Syrup. Directly from the trees of Oswegatchie, our sugar maker and friends climb the hills to tap the trees in snowy March days. Tapping the 1,300 trees may take hours or days, depending on the depth of that snow.
This labor of love produces an average of 120 gallons of liquid gold. We serve about 60 gallons a year on pancakes, chicken wings, ham, and desserts. The remaining is sold to our patrons and every cent earned is reinvested in our programs and facilities. This revenue helps make Oswegatchie sustainable for years into the future.
